The vision has now become a reality thanks to the people at Macintosh, this new piece of technology will no doubt revolutionize the way you use your Mac.

So what exactly makes this device so revolutionary? Through the use of 2 separate channels you can do what you never thought was possible. Macintosh made this device to run much faster and more efficient than previous attempts. This is because of the simple fact that this device, unlike predecessors has 10 GBPS, which is a significant amount of memory. The Thunderbolt is actually said to act 20 times faster than other competitors. You might imagine with this kind of space the possibilities are endless and you would be right. For the first time there is no need for a hub or switch when wanting to connect to high-speed devices.

In fact, you now you are now able to connect to multiple high-power devices. For instance now it is not impossible to connect external disks, a video capture device, and a display all at the same time. This new brand of technology is available to Macbook air, Macbook pro, iMac, and the Macmini.  There are also rumors that the yet to be announced iPad 3 tablet will also equiped with Thunderbolt. It would make sense since the Thunderbolt works with the display port so you can connect your Mac or iPad through to your television; it also supports HDMI so you can connect your Mac through any Television or display which uses HDMI.

Technology never ceases to amaze even the most tech savvy. Through the use of this piece of technology specifically, the possibilities are endless. Anyone in video editing will appreciate this piece of technology especially because now you are able to take high-powered devices from your desk straight to your computer.
